what is a Horse Training Show?
I was looking for shows to go to with my horse and i came across a horse training show and i didn't know what that was. Does anyone know what a horse training show is?
hmm, my best guess would be that they are meaning something along the lines of a schooling show.
A schooling show is basically a small local show. These shows usually only last one day as opposed to the common full weekend and are pretty inexpensive. The purpose of a "schooling show" is that they aren't approved by associations (like AQHA, IEA, etc.) and are meant for the opportunity to expose your horse to a show environment, dust off your skills at the start of
a show season, etc. These are also great for a first show. So in simpler terms, they are literally meant for schooling/training/practicing.

A "horse training show" is also called a "Schooling Show". These are small local shows put on so that you can learn what to do in the show ring.
IF you are learning, that's where you need to go for your first few shows until you feel comfortable and are winning classes. Once you start winning, then it's time for you to move on to the bigger either breed shows or larger open shows.
